I am a single working Mom with two kids under 10 yrs old and the community at the Governors Club has been a wonderful find for us. When we moved here 7 years ago from California, I chose to live in Southern Village because that was the ""kid friendly place"" to live in Chapel Hill. I later joined the Governors Club for the golf, but after spending a few years there decided that it was more than just a place to play golf. It was a community of people that were genuinely interested in creating an ideal environment for families. Everyone has been so welcoming and even neighbors that do not have children living with them volunteer to work at family events.
My kids love it here, and I do too.
Pros: family friendly, world class golf, terrific food!
