My husband is from Spain and I was looking for an authentic Spanish restaurant to celebrate his birthday. I have tried almost all of the tapas restaurants in Dallas and have been very dissapointed with the food. Someone told me about this restaurant in Addison that also has flamenco shows and I thought it would be fun. We went on a Sunday with some friends and had a marvelous time! The waiter was very attentive and did not make me feel rushed (like other restaurants I have been to), the flamenco show was fun, and I can honestly say that the food was just like the tapas in Spain...Best tortilla espanola (potato omelette) in Dallas, great calamares (crispy), and the paella was yummy (with lots of seafood and chicken)...authentic and delicious!!!!!!!! I don't understand all the other reviews that say the food and service is bad (maybe they went on a bad day). I really thought it was great! We felt like we were back in Spain. The owners are actually from Spain and my husband enjoyed talking to one of them about futbol (soccer). And why do people complain about the parking? Have they tried parking uptown? It's imposible! At least De Tapas offers valet parking. We have been back on other days and the service and food has been just as great. We love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros: excellent food, entertaining show, and great service
Cons: The bar next door plays very loud music!
