I booked through a hotels website for a non-smoking room for my two kids and I. upon check-in I was placed in a smoking room. There were no non-smoking rooms available. It was so bad in the room that I got a headache and smelled of smoke even after canceling my stay there to check into a real hotel. The rude staff who refused to refund my Internet charge of $5 for the 45 min I spent there was the icing on the cake.
