I recently visited Mizumi because it had been recommended by a very picky friend. I was greeted at the door by the owner, with a very enthusiastic smile, and contagious laugh I might add. The décor is simple and inviting. The prices are very reasonable, compared to other sushi restaurants in the area and downtown as well. I ordered some sashimi – chefs discretion, and what a great choice! Absolutely divine! Fresh, and beautifully presented. It looked like a work of art. I had to take a picture of it before I ate it! I also enjoyed some of their signature rolls; the MJ was very nice as was the jalapeno roll. They will make it spicy if you like, or mellow if your more conservative on that point. I was pulled into engaging conversation by the sushi chefs, and the fellow diners at the sushi bar. There is plenty of seating, including an outdoor patio I will try in the spring. If you want to sit at the bar, there may be a short wait as this exquisite restaurant is becoming quite popular. An absolute must for sushi lovers across the valley!
Pros: Fresh, friendly staff, plenty of seating
