My date and I heard from friends that the 57th had reopened, and we just had to check it out. The interior is just as it was before, nostalgic and cozy. We started off with the crabcakes as an appetizer and they were great! And you know you have to have their beer cheese soup (which we did, and you only need a cup)...another winner there...yum! We each decided to have a Grey Goose martini, (which they do very well also) and split a Grilled Romaine salad....yes grilled...what a cool way to add texture and taste.....I will have to try this at home!!! Dinner was challenge for us...we could not decide amoungst the many offerings...our server suggested the Sea Bass with the gouda chesse grits...so we ordered it (it was awesome!!!!) and the Bleu Cheese stuffed sirloin....OMG! it was out of this world!!! The blackberry reduction served with the steak is just to die for! ( I wanted to lick my plate!!!) The service was very nice, attentive and friendly. Needless to say, we were stuffed when it came to dessert. So we will have to try some next time. Our server mentioned that the Sunday Champagne Brunch was back......and hmmmmm, now I can't wait to come back for brunch!!!!
Pros: Cozy, comfortable atmosphere, great service
Cons: Not enought time to spend there relaxing and dining
