We loved Ouzo's (the former restaurant run by these owners), so we were excited to choose their newest incarnation, Anise. However, everything about it was sub-standard. From the food to the service to the decor to the prices, we left feeling 'ripped off". For instance, I used to love their Med platter. This time, even the hummus was terrible! There were four of us and we shared several appetizers and ordered only one main-course dish. We waited at least 20-30 minutes after finishing the appetizers for the main dish (which should have been served along with the other dishes, since we were sharing).No one approached us to ask if we needed anything or to apologize for the delay (the owners were, inexplicably, the main servers. Perhaps they're trying to make up for the money they lost at their last location on South Beach-which could very well have ruined them, since construction on the road prevented anyone from getting to the restaurant). In any event, they have failed to resume where they left off and have instead launched a disappointing, overpriced restaurant.
