I needed a radio for a 97 Honda. I called Sanford Auto Salvage and they said they had one. When I arrived the next day they said they didn't have one. Finally a guy in the back yelled out and told the other guy what to look for. When they brought it out the back of the radio had a lot of rust. Even down into the vents where the electronics are. They wanted $75 + tax = $80.25 no cash refunds (exchange for other merchandise only), no guarantees on electronics, mechanical parts only!! (A newly refurbished radio is $125 elsewhere.) Another patron said, install it and try it before you pay. Good idea I thought. I mentioned about the rust to the guy behind the counter. He said, it was normal and that my radio would have it too. (I'm thinking no way.) So we left their radio on the counter and went out to the parking lot and pulled our radio out of our car. It was spotless.
