NEVER GO TO METHODIST NORTH. 12/14/2010

I would not recommend this hospital to even an enemy. I went to Methodist Hospital (Covington Pike location) emergency room on 9/20/10. My head was hurting so badly that it felt as if someone was banging my head with a hammer. I was nauseous, dizzy, confused, had tingling arms, numb legs, memory loss, delayed thoughts, a few recent blackouts, and more. I reported all of this to Dr. Justin Deaton and his emergency room team. An MRI was done. I'm currently looking at the MRI which reads, ""Low lying cerebellar tonsils which have been described with Chiari malformations. Clinical correlation recommended"". However, Dr. Justin Deaton looked me in my eye and told me that the MRI did not find anything and requested a psychiatric evaluation from a local psychiatric hospital. He explained to me that since there was no explanation for my pain, I must have been delusional. After the assessor from the psych hospital stated that there was no psych problem evident, he drugged me up and sent me home. When I followed up with a neurologist, I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation (just as the MRI findings said) that was so progressed I was not expected to live long without neurodecompression surgery. I was given emergency neurosurgery and thank God I'm alive. more
