This is the worst electric company I've ever known! I had an account with them in June 2010. I didn't move into the apartment, so I stopped my service of about 2 days. I've found a new apartment in Cedar Park, and a need to re-establish service with Pedernales, since it's the only electric company my complex uses. I was told that even with my account in good standing, I would have to pay a new deposit fee of $150, and non-refundable $75, and a $50 membership fee! In addition there's a percentage fee based on address! I will have to nearly pay $280 just to start electricity! I matters not that my past account from less than 6 months ago is in good standing, and that it's less than a year old! I get no credit for the last account, and I have to start a new account! Nothing is waived, reduced or applied! The start up fee is nearly half of my rent! I was told by customer service that the $150 deposit is new, starting November 1, 2010; how lucky for me! This is the only electric company in Cedar Park, and it's a monopoly! Avoid renting here, you'll be ripped off by this company!
