When a business insists on running unnecessary tests on a pet because they 'have the machine in their office', and won't give the customer an option to have just the medically needed tests or have these tests done elsewhere, is wrong. Care centers for people can't do this so why should vets be allowed to pad their wallets doing unneeded costly tests. When I asked for the price to have a prescription filled, they told me I would be required to have my dog seen. When I arrived they then told me it would be $70 for a battery of tests, most of which were not needed for my dog. Then they wanted another charge for drawing the blood. What a scam to pad their revenues. I asked for just the 2 tests (BUN and Creatinine) which were needed and they told me they only ran the full scan because they have the machine on site. When I called around, a BUN and Creatinine run by themselves were $19 by another lab company. What a rip off this place is.
