We had brought our dogs to Banfield for years. They had previously had a female vet who was very good, but she left. Unfortunately, we stayed with Banfield. In 2004, we brought our healthy 6-year-old dog in for a routine dental cleaning at Banfield. She died during the procedure. The vet in charge was Dr. Eduardo Arellano. Obviously, we never went back. I found another vet in Ocala with whom we have been very happy. We have also, since that time, taken our dogs to the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital in Gainesville, because they have vets who specialize in anesthesia. I do not recommend Banfield.
