No More Corporate Owned Animal Clinics 2/14/2011

The people that work @ Banfield are very nice, however, it is a corporate owned clinic and they are pressured in to pushing medications and treatments that may not be necessary! Plus, I took my dogs there several times and not once did I receive a follow up call to see how they were. I miss Dr Addison, in Lake City! I really cared about my pets and would always call to see how they were, regardless of how simple the visit was. I found a local owned vet, that is much like Dr Addison, so I will not go back to Bannfield. Don't let your pet suffer at the expense of convenience. Go to a locally owned pet clinic, where they care more about your pet than they do about meeting sales quotas, set by a corporation! more

There Are Much Better Vets in Ocala 10/15/2010

We had brought our dogs to Banfield for years. They had previously had a female vet who was very good, but she left. Unfortunately, we stayed with Banfield. In 2004, we brought our healthy 6-year-old dog in for a routine dental cleaning at Banfield. She died during the procedure. The vet in charge was Dr. Eduardo Arellano. Obviously, we never went back. I found another vet in Ocala with whom we have been very happy. We have also, since that time, taken our dogs to the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital in Gainesville, because they have vets who specialize in anesthesia. I do not recommend Banfield. more

Convenience 2/11/2006

Banfield Vet is located on the premises of Petsmart in Ocala on College Road. The best thing I can say about Banfield is that it is very convenient, making it easy to shop for food and other items for your pet in one stop. The negative part of Banfield is the lack of help and wait for service. more
