WOW...and not in a good way 10/17/2010

I see no one has left a review on this place in a while. Maybe its because they stepped up their game for a while, but they have gone back down since the last review.\r \r Me and my family have been going to Razzoo's for many years. Always had a great time. Never more than a few minutes to be seated, waitstaff always came by to check on us etc.\r \r However that is clearly not the case tonight. We just got home from eating there and I can promise you it is the last time. Let me start by saying that it takes us about 45 mins to an hour to get to Razzoo's. So when we go we have to really be in the mood for it and wanting to spend a little extra money because it is not cheap to feed a family of 5 here. \r \r Once we got to Razzoo's there was a massive party leaving. Looked to be a church group or maybe a wedding party. Either way I would say there was about 35-40 people in this group. Once we entered there was a group of about 5 in front of us who had just been told to take a seat. About 15 mins in they were seated. Not a bad wait time but much longer than we have ever waited for a table. Still no biggie.\r \r Then 25 mins came around and the 5 in our group were STILL waiting. Groups of 3 and 4 people would walk in about every 5 mins and were seated right away. I figured there must have been a few more big parties and they were just out of tables to seat 5. Then 35 mins came around. My mother in law decided to take a look in the seating area to see how many people were actually in there that was causing us to wait so long. Turned out there were PLENTY of tables inside and only about 2 of the tables outside were occupied. So she went and found a manager.\r \r The manager told her that ""it was a fire hazard to push 2 or more tables together"" and that if they did that they would ""have to assign 2 extra tables to a waiter"". I am sorry but what kind of bull crap answer is that? I have worked in that field before and there was never any ""fire hazard"" for putting 2 or more tables together. Not only that but how do they accomodate for parties above 4 when all their 5 top tables are occupied?\r \r We continued to wait. After about 50 mins we were finally called to be seated. As we were getting up to be seated a group of 10 walked in. As we passed them I felt like telling them ""good luck"" because if we had to wait for a table to seat 5 it would be at least twice as long for them. As they showed us to our talbe guess where we ended up....thats right, at two tables pushed together. As we all picked which part of the tables we wanted to sit at, the party of 10 walked behind us and were being seated RIGHT AWAY! There is NO way they could have seated them at any single table. They HAD to push tables together for that group. But wait, I thought that was a fire hazard? \r \r The waiters and clean up crew were horrid. It took them 35 mins in a nearly empty resturant to clear the empty tables that were all around us. Our waiter would magicly disappear after checking on us. She wasnt waiting on other tables or working on bills. She also brought us our food cold which was pretty nasty. We literally saw her a total of 4 times. And one of the times was when she was sent back to fix the check. \r \r I should mention that the girls at the front of the house could not and would not give us an answer as to how long the wait would be. If they had mentioned it would be an hour we would have gone somewhere else and returned to Razzoo's another day. But after this experience we will NOT be returning to this Razzoo's at the very least. And we will be very skeptical about going to any other Razzoo's as well. more
