The first day that I entered Centered City Yoga I was met with warm, welcoming, knowledgeable people who are ingrained in an honest yoga tradition. However, the difference that this studio offers to students is an open path to personal discovery through yoga. The meaning here is that they care about each and every student in regards to their practice by taking the time to teach yoga to the individual and not just to the 'room' in a disengaged way. The teachers at CCY know and understand that the path to yoga is a personal journey and they take the time to help the students grow one day at a time. I have since moved to another city in the United States and continue to struggle in finding a yoga studio that takes the time and effort to help students develop their yoga practice. With a background in dance and teaching movement I have personally witnessed practices that are not engaged with the student while in yoga classes. CCY is a place where the integrity of the practice is honored and practiced everyday. There is a very special place that CCY offers both in community and in their teaching that is something not to be described but something to be experienced instead. The more time I spent in their arms, the more awareness I have gained in my life. I am a thankful person and to this studio for what it has shared with me in my life....Namaste. so thankful.
