This place is the El Dorado of the Suburbs. Warm, cozy, not so economical and a bit unpredictable.
I think there's really only one time a year it's a must. Autumn. There's something about sitting outside with the ever-burning fire pits that reminds me of NorthWoods camping. That's when this place really finds its sheik.
The desserts are HUGE, but taste a little ""store bought"".
The drinks are very, very good, although they seem as if they are poured by a vending machine, so don't think it'll be cheap to get your buzz-on. Think marathon, because it may take that long.
This last visit I got the prawns from the appetizer menu. Executed by a """"""MASTER CHEF"""""" no doubt (or so they looked looked)... beautiful. But the first bite revealed the smoke and mirrors. This was nothing more than mediocre jumbo shrimp with a pre-mixed buffalo sauce dressing. Yikes! Money back????
The other dishes were quite good and not as transparent in their execution.
Go.
One time.
In October.
Pros: Patio!!!!
Cons: Eh - a little of everything
