Westside is thrilled each time Redstone's asks them to perform. Pros: They Have Great Bands Every Wednesday Cons: They only have live music on Wednesday

Worst

Yes I agree - the food is absolutely outstanding. The swordfish and the Ahi are probably one of the finest Minnesota has to offer. There's however one major problem with this pla...

Great food and atmosphere 11/20/2011

This place is great. The food is amazing, it is easy to get to, and the staff is very friendly. If you like cornbread, make sure you try Redstone's. Its the best I have ever had. The server that I had was acutally very good as well (although I had read some bad reviews in the past). She was nice and was on the spot with everything we needed, despite the place being fairly crowded. I will definitely go back! more

regular boycotting redstone 3/9/2011

My friend and I go to redstone almost every week. Lately the service and food has been terrible. Last week, my friend and I order a banana cream pie to-go. It was basically bananas and whip cream. more

Suburban Cuddling 1/11/2010

This place is the El Dorado of the Suburbs. Warm, cozy, not so economical and a bit unpredictable. I think there's really only one time a year it's a must. Autumn. There's something about sitting outside with the ever-burning fire pits that reminds me of NorthWoods camping. That's when this place really finds its sheik. The desserts are HUGE, but taste a little ""store bought"". The drinks are very, very good, although they seem as if they are poured by a vending machine, so don't think it'll be cheap to get your buzz-on. Think marathon, because it may take that long. This last visit I got the prawns from the appetizer menu. Executed by a """"""MASTER CHEF"""""" no doubt (or so they looked looked)... beautiful. But the first bite revealed the smoke and mirrors. This was nothing more than mediocre jumbo shrimp with a pre-mixed buffalo sauce dressing. Yikes! Money back???? The other dishes were quite good and not as transparent in their execution. Go. One time. In October. Pros: Patio!!!! Cons: Eh - a little of everything more

Worth it 2/16/2009

I have read several of the reviews regarding Redstone. Almost all the negative one's seem to involve long waits to get seated. The restaurant TAKES reservations. Simply call and make one. We were seated promptly and our food was delicious. We were able to have drinks, entrees, and dessert all for around $60.00 which is very, very reasonable compared to similar restaurants around town where we have easily spent $100 plus. I do agree that the wait staff can be over zealous. They tend to stop by one to many times but I will surely take that over not seeing your server for 30 minutes. Overall great food and suprisingly good value. more

Overzealous wait staff 11/19/2008

Redstone is changing some; the salads are getting less and less of the more expensive items, i.e. chicken and more towards cheaper ingredients like iceberg. The roasted chicken dinner is great and the flatbreads are also except for less of the main ingredients. Drinks are downtown priced-not good for the suburb dining. Don't too much drink here. Pros: The food is good Cons: Noisy at dinner time and lunch hour more

Expected more, got less. 11/11/2008

Overall, I enjoy dining at Redstone, but my rating is based on the delivery of my meal and efforts needed to get it right. Please read on.. Pros: Overall atmosphere Cons: Getting the order right more

Great Restaurant!!! Wonderful food and ambiance! 1/9/2008

This restaurant has amazing food, atmosphere and service. Whether you are sitting at the bar have a light bite and drinks or ready to enjoy a romantic dinner....this is the place. Don't be surprised by the fancy cars in the parking lot....the rich come here for the same reason you should....GREAT FOOD. The Chicken Tortilla Soup on Tuesday night is delicious. But, you have to try a wedge of cornbread with Maple Butter - TO DIE FOR!!! It's a must on every visit. Their specials are very well priced and two big enough for two to share with a bowl of soup. Drinks can be on the expensive side, but the Berry Stoli Martini is awesome (made with Pineapple infused vodka). The wait staff is attentive and polite! Be aware that it get's busy on Friday and Saturday nights so make reservations or be prepared to wait - it's worth it! There is also a location in Eden Prairie, MN that is just as lovely! Don't be afraid to ask your waiter for menu suggestions. The bar area has some good priced starter options if that's all you are in the mood for. Pros: Wonderful food and warm atmosphere with fireplaces. Cons: Can get noisy and crowded - I wouldn't bring kids here. more

Great food, service and atomosphere. 7/16/2007

We went for dinner on a Saturday night and got right in. Treasure was our waitress and she really is a treasure! We were thrilled with everything. The service, food and drinks were all top notch. Try the lobster bisque, it's the best I've ever had, but fair warning, you'll be hooked. There were no negatives. Highly recommended. Pros: Great food and service Cons: A little spendy but totally worth it. more

Best FONDUE! 11/13/2006

Yum! I can't stop thinking about the great fondue appetizer I had today at lunch. I have to admit, at first sight I was a little turned off by all of the BMW's and Range Rover's in the parking lot, but that was soon forgotten once I was sitting at my table. I met a friend for lunch and we got in right away - it was 12:00 noon!!! I was very impressed. The food...wow! to die for! I loved it!!! Definately recommended for a business lunch or a fun night out with friends. Pros: Food Cons: Parking - it looks more crowded than it really is more

Very Impressed 9/15/2006

Our friends took us there for brunch on a Sunday. Great service and attention from the staff without hovering. All of our dishes tasted wonderful. Were not rushed out after finishing meal as we visited another hour, we upped our tip of course. Pros: Service, Food, Reservations were kept to time more

Great food! Better service! 6/28/2006

The food was fantastic, great atomosphere - very relaxed and no rush. Our server - ask for Treasure - was exceptional!! more

Best brunch in town! 4/25/2006

My family and I LOVE the brunch on Sundays. It is served family style (scrambled eggs, hashbowns, sausage, bacon, french toast, etc.) and instead of the typical ""all you can eat"" buffet, they bring the food to your table (and it is still ""all you can eat""). The food is to die for, we really crave it! PLUS they give you a pecan roll (which is fabulous)while you are waiting for your food (like a bread basket). I must admit that I have not had any other meal there except brunch, but I am obsessed. Cost=15/person. more

Vegetarians beware! 1/22/2006

My friends and family really like this restaurant, and I have to agree I really like the ambience, especially outside at night. However, they are very close-minded about different eating habits. My husband asked our server why they didn't have any vegetarian-friendly entrees on their menu and she said that they used to, but they didn't sell enough so they took it off the menu. Very short-sighted of the management not to realize that they don't just lose the vegetarian diners, but every one who dines with them. A group of 12 from my office wanted to go for lunch and I had to ruin it for the whole group and tell them that there was nothing I could eat there. Not allowing reservations is a real pain anyway. No loss for me! Pros: location, ambience Cons: limited menu, crowded, no reservations more

Brunch 12/12/2005

Their brunch is the best I've had. It's a great selection of items. We've always had great service. more

Phenom 9/29/2005

Great atmosphere, but the food is above spectacular. I've never had bread pudding that was so good. Don't even get me started about the corn bread. GOOD. All entres are good. (I've been there a few times.) Pros: Food, Service more

Go elsewhere 9/20/2004

The music is hideously loud, our table wobbled like a seesaw, the drinks... watery and the burger (one of the few things on the menu that didn't say ""market rate"" was mushy greasy. If you want an poor quality expensive meal in a blaring atmosphere - this is your place. GO TO JAX OR MURRAYS for a nice experience at the same prices Pros: Decent service, Lovely decor Cons: , Overpriced, Bad food more

Had better 4/20/2004

Pricey. I love mashed potatos, especially flavored mashed potatos, but with the smokey roasted chicken with the smokey roasted vegetables in a rich sauce, the potatos just seemed sickening. Redstone is trying too hard. The natural flavors of the dishes were missing. Came in at aroun 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and they were having a waitstaff meeting out in the front of the restaurant. Thought that was a little tacky considering the ""upscale"" ambiance the restaurant tries so hard to create Pros: Large Portions Cons: , Over-seasoned food more

not all that 10/20/2003

I was expecting a more extavagent place. It is almost leaning toward the non-formal crowd with wood booths and tables. The bar is placed in the middle of the building, with smoke drifting into the nonsmoking area. Blah! I ordered the Mahi Mahi and it was very BLAND. My fish had no flavor but tasted like they haven't cleaned the grill in a year. Skip the fish. The steak was very tender. Some of the best cuts I've had in most restaurants. If you wear a tie, you are overdressed. Valet parking available. Fish,$20, as the steak, $25+. Drinks run about $5 a glass. We went Friday 6pm and there were no lines. No reservations available. Total bill w/ tip was about $200 for 4. Timberlodge or Outback Steakhouse can compare, for less... Pros: Good service, Delicious steak, Free parking Cons: over priced, No reservations, limited menu more
