My family has eaten here lots over the past 10 years. On Saturday, January 16, 2010 we went in for dinner and ordered a large combo to share with shrimp, flounder, and scallops. My son mentioned that the scallops were overcooked and chewy. When we decided to cut into one, we noted that the flesh did not separate top to bottom as it does in a true scallop. Inside was some type of white flesh that was fibrous and tough with mixed grain running side to side.
I approached the counter and pointed out the problem. The staff stated that this was the same product they have been using for 'years' and that the 'scallop medallions' are different depending on how they are cut.
Apparently, they are no longer using the quality of real scallops so it makes me wonder what other shortcuts are being taken.
