The ethics of the Maternity Ward needs to be reevaluated. I watched as the Nurses stick a needle into a new born repeatedly because they could get a vein for the IV. There was a blonde nurse with short hair that was extremely rude. In addition, other nurses were discussing another patients status out loud. Such as the way room 16 was having a baby by her brother and one nurse said gross. Then another nurse went on discussing who was in the room with her when she examined the patient. They figured it was the brother-in-law they all said gross. This is the worst case of HIPPAA volation and patient/visitor treatment I have ever seen. The straw that broke the camels back was the way I saw a nurse wrap a baby in a blanket and the baby's head was flopping around. The nurse did nothing to protect it. This needs to be corrected as soon as possible and emplyees need to be retrained in patient care. The date of this occurance was 9/24/2009.
Cons: Rude Nurses, and no privacy
