Indian is my favorite cuisine and I have tried every Indian restaurant in Portland and every food cart, some multiple times. The Tandoor is the best at any price. The fried foods are crisp and fresh tasting and not greasy. The sauces are creamy and luscious. Ample great vegetarian choices. When they first opened they didn't provide much meat in the meat dishes, but now they do. It used to be cold and uncomfortable, but now it has lovely booths. I usually don't like steam table buffet lunches, but theirs is a fantastic feast. Dinners are so generous and delicious it's amazing. I can't see why anyone goes anywhere else for Indian food! I'm sorry to hear one reviewer was disappointed, but they are not ""slipping,"" they are getting better all the time. And one thing that couldn't be improved is the fine service from welcoming, charming staff.
Pros: Delicious food. Fresh tastes. Big Portions.
