Many of us in Brookwood, were heart broken with the closing of Gary's ""Taurus"". It was wonderful and special. But like the symbol of Atlanta, The Phoenix, Chef Mennie has come back. At the most historical and wonderful corner in the city, Peachtree & Ponce, Chef Mennie has brought his talent to the Georgian Terrace Hotel. Is this the same place where the ""Gone With The Wind"" stars's, came after the films opening, and is now an elegant hip Dining Room & Bar? Of course, this is what Atlanta is all about. And we were all about Gary's creative menu. Being a soup freak, and judging a restaurants talents by the soup, the soup delivered. A Jerusalem Artichoke puree with little bit's of green apple for garnishments, turned out to be one of the best soups in years. The Short Rib Ravioli was amazing. My companion loved the Berkshire Pork Loin, was very moist. While the wine list was very short, the selection was sufficient. Service is still somewhat green. But finally a great new dining destination, for all of us Fox Theater patron's. Maybe just a drink on the famous terrace, facing the Fox. Heck, we don't need to attend a performance at The Fox, to come to Livingston. It's another great addition to the growing restaurant scene in Midtown.
Pros: Historical & Hip Dining Room, Creative Menu!
Cons: Service Needs To Kick It Up A Notch!
