I have been to Osaka once a week for years. I would go work out at Lifetime and then have a healthy meal by myself at the sushi bar without ever feeling weird. The sushi chefs were very personable.
But we also go for the birthdays in our family because it is a great place to take a large group of people to as well. I have been to Kiyoto/Benihana/Shogun-- none of them compares quality-wise to Osaka. The seafood and steak is always fresher here and the sushi too. I am really surprised to see that someone got sick. Like I said I have been there a million times and never had a problem!
Other sushi places in that area pale in comparison. I hate going to sushi places and there is nothing raw on the menu, it is all just fad-sushi. You can get authentic sushi at Osaka, not just the American deep-fried stuff.
Pros: best sushi in town, great atmosphere, hibachi grill fun too
