I have been going to this place for about 4 years, and spent on average of $60 there with my boyfriend each week. There are several places in the area with better sushi than Osaka, some include UMI sushi on 23 mile and m53, or katana in Royal Oak, anyways the main reason we went there is because the wait staff is so nice and friendly, and their service makes us come back each week, despite the fact that the owner and the sushi chefs loo at you like you are their enemy every time we walk in, im not sure if they realize how much money we have spent there, and how many other people go because of us EVERY WEEK. As hard as we try to ignore the dirty looks we all get each time we walk in there, it's really frustrating and annoying to spend my hard earned money at a place that can't even smile and welcome you when you walk in. Last week we went there and they messed up our order, so when we told the waitress that it was wrong the manager made her take each of our plates back to the sushi bar and we had to wait another 30 min. for our correct order to come, the waitress was so embaressed by this and i know it was not her fault at all, so as we waited for our order to be fixed the manager and the owner lady passed by our table about 5 times and did not even say one word to us ( we spent about $200 this time, with a party of 6) we all felt like WE did something wrong. Anyways after 30 minutes our order came and we overheard the manager yell at our waitress to MAKE SURE she charges for everything correctly and to include the one side of spicy mayo for $1(which is free everywhere else we go). This place doens't care about it's customers all they care about is your money, it is very unwelcoming and a cold atmosphere and we are finally fed up of it. I feel bad for the poor wait staff that has to deal with those people on a daily basis. I don't care if i have to drive for 2 hours to have sushi i will never be returning to this place again.
Cons: sushi chefs, greety owners, don't care about customers
