This really was a great place to hang out - had the absolute best desserts ever and a great atmosphere. Note the use of past tense, however. I went in today, my first time since the apparent change of hands, and quickly realized something was very different about the place. Gone are the bulletin boards with local postings, gone are the quirky but friendly employees, and gone is the comfortable, laid-back atmosphere. Instead you'll find an unwelcoming atmosphere, a stand-offish manager (who indeed does like to talk about customers once they leave), and cheap shortcuts. For instance, before, you got a pickle AND orange slices with your wrap. Now, you get to choose one. For heavens sake - it's a pickle. Not even a whole one! And a 1/4 of an orange. It's just so...cheap. Also, the desserts are AWFUL now. The old management sprung for delicious cakes from a local bakery. While the new manager raised the price on the cakes ($4+ per slice!), she also appears to be getting them from the nearby Wal-mart. They are AWFUL!!!! Don't bother - you will regret it!
