My boyfriend and I went out to celebrate our tenth anniversary.
We had a decent dinner, and were enjoying a special night.
We were holding hands, and the chef took away our plates of food and told us to leave. We asked why and he told us that our kind was not welcome at Vincent.
We did nothing other than subtley hold hands and talk... things that other couples were doing in house-yet he was kind and engaging to them.
It was horrible.
Insult to injury happened when we were presented a bill even though the chef took away our food.
We refused to pay for a meal we were not allowed to finish.
We left being called anti-gay derogatory names.
I have heard the guy was pretty mean, but this is of a way different light.
Perhaps he does not know that discriminating against Gay couples is against the law.
He will soon find out.
We called our friend Chef Anthony Bourdain (a friend of the place and he was incredulous too-it was he that sent us there). We went for solid French cuisine.
We left feeling angry and quite upset.
Legal action is being worked on.
This guy is so wrong.
Pros: nothing
Cons: Homophobic chef
