A/C was working fine, then went out very suddenly. Called Gilmore, tech said all refrigerant gone, said it would be extremely costly to determine source of leak, was certain I should replace unit. He submitted estimates and offered 5% off if we made purchase that day, which felt like a pressure sales tactic. Called another company, they found source of leak in 2 minutes, repaired leak, charged unit, and everything is working fine again. I can understand that replacement might be preferable to repair in some circumstances, but in my case it seemed Gilmore was a bit too anxious to sell me a new unit.
Pros: Quick response
Cons: Focus on selling new unit instead of repairing old unit
