My husband's Onkyo receiver is under warranty and, rather than pay shipping to send it for repair, we decided to make the 2-hour drive to Lexington to drop it off at Bobby Jones Electronics, which is our nearest Onkyo authorized service center. I called the business yesterday and spoke to a woman who confirmed their Saturday hours (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and their address. I told her that we had a warranty repair to bring in and would be there around 10 this morning. We arrived at the store a few minutes before 10, and were greeted by locked doors. While we waited a few minutes to see if anyone would show up, another customer arrived and tried knocking on the door. I called the store number and reached the answering message stating that Saturday store hours were 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We left the shopping center and came back about 45 minutes later...door still locked. I tried to call again and got the answering message again. After just reading the reviews for Bobby Jones & Son TV, I am not surprised. I am just really glad we hadn't already left the receiver with them. If we had driven to pick it up and found the doors locked, I would have been really upset. At least all we are out is the gas to drive down there, and the wasted Saturday morning. Pitiful way to do business!
