We have been taking our dog to Kutters for the past year since we purchased her from petland. She has been to them over 20 times in the last year. This last trip will be her last. She had been experiencing some shaking and we thought it might be best to get her looked over before we went on vacation. They didnt treat the problem and documented the main issue that she was being brought in for was an allergic reaction and they gave her a shot. They hadn't even taken her temperature. If she is shaking wouldn't you think that is the easiest reason to explain her shaking. Anyways, so she got a shot and we assumed that would fix the problem. We left her with family while on vacation and when we returned they informed us that the dog had been shaking while we were gone. The shaking had been taking place intermittently and we hadnt noticed the shaking for the next week or so. Then the following weekend she was acting very lethargic and shaking again. We took her to the emergency vet that night and determined that she had a fever. She has been on anitbiotics and has never felt better. From this story you would most likely conclude that she had been running a fever intermittently this entire time, just as I would conclude. Obviously I am no Doctor and certainly not an expert on animal care but the first thing I would do is take her temperture. Remarkably her medical records did not reflect her shaking as the main reason for us bringing her in. When asked why her temperature was not taken Dr. Kutter replied that it was the vet tech's job to take the temperature and that they had a talk about it. Do what you want with your pet but mine wont be back to see Kutters ever.
Pros: Close to home and can always get in.
Cons: read below, this isnt the first time for such an incident.
