Barkley Ridge is a great place if you are on a tight budget. The apartments aren't huge, but they're way more than you can get for the same price in Ohio, plus since they're not that large, the electric bill is low! The heat is free in winter and the AC units work really well. They don't charge extra if you have a cat, which is different than any other apartment complex. As for the "ghetto" neighbors, honestly we see more redneck type people than ghetto, but either way, they are polite and there is no crime. I've lived here for six months and when I accidentaly got locked out of my apartment, the people who sit downstairs and drink were the ones who helped me get back in, simply because they are nice people. I've never had an experience with loud neighbors, so maybe it depends on what building or floor you are on. In fact, we never hear our neighbors.
