Barkley Ridge

The crime rate here is ungodly. The people who live there have NO respect for their neighbors. Constant fight and police, Don't let the management try to fool you. Every year your rent goes up and the place gets worse. Someone will move in and next thing you know there is 5 people living in a one bedroom apt like a bunch of gypsys. I advice you to look elsewhere to live. TRUST ME !! more

this place sucks real bad they got bad bug problems they let any1 move in theres probablly child moslesters and seriel killers up here the hallways are nasty and seems like theres always some type of drama goin on more

There are major bug problems here at the Barkley Ridge on Alexandria PIke (Idk about the other BRs) but here, snowball pest control is here every other month and they don't do sh**! \r \r Not everyone here is mean or fresh out of jail, there are a couple decent people. Not very many. \r \r The apartments are too small. Only one person can fit in the kitchen. \r \r There are a lot of drug heads up here who go behind buildings and do drugs. They think they're sneaky? hahaha. And the cops are ALWAYS up here. \r \r Oh, and if you have kids, there are VERY few kids here. Your kid will die of boredum. \r \r The office people are LAZY! \r \r Don't come here just because the price is good. Invest your time and money some place better! more

Barkley Ridge is what everyone says it is. Ghetto redneck thug people who dont have any respect for neighbors. Parties going on at all hours of the night, people slamming doors, cops called out all the time. The rent is way too much for the living space. The only ONLY nice thing about this place is that they paid heat. Not worth it. Not to mention the pool was always overcrowded, and I hated how the dump truck came 2 a wek and no matter how deep a sleep i was in, ALWAYS woke me up. Really loud. more

i hate this apartment... I currently live hear but i am moving at the end of the month....Rent is way to much for the conditions of these apartments... its nice that they pay heat in the winter but i was so hot this winter i had my a/c on.. Which is another huge problem it broke three times this winter and every time i call to get it fixed i have to wait two days for them to come out to fix it. i have a child mean while that is sweating due to the heat.. every time they have said they have fixed it it just brakes again it will only blow out hot air not cold...they promised us a new one and still have not given us one.. the sink in our bathroom has been leaking for two month they still have not fixed that either...for what i pay a month in rent is ridiculous considering their is no dish washer and the kitchen is the size of a closet... and everything is so cheap in the apartment it brakes.. i am so glad that my lease is up and i can move far away from hear... Barkley Ridge is a great place if you are on a tight budget. The apartments aren't huge, but they're way more than you can get for the same price in Ohio, plus since they're not that large, the electric bill is low! The heat is free in winter and the AC units work really well. They don't charge extra if you have a cat, which is different than any other apartment complex. As for the "ghetto" neighbors, honestly we see more redneck type people than ghetto, but either way, they are polite and there is no crime. I've lived here for six months and when I accidentaly got locked out of my apartment, the people who sit downstairs and drink were the ones who helped me get back in, simply because they are nice people. I've never had an experience with loud neighbors, so maybe it depends on what building or floor you are on. In fact, we never hear our neighbors. This place is everything the others have said and more. Everyone that lives there looks like they have just been released from prison. There are some good people there but they hide at night when the thugs come out to drink and do drugs behind the buildings. There is black mold growing on the outside of the buildings by the AC units. The pool is always over-crowded, day and night. The complex its self is very dirty and run down. The rent is too much for the condition of the place. The only reason anyone would live there is because it is on a bus line. thats it!! more

I hate living at Barkley ridge they charge to much for a one bedroom and they are really small. The hot water is always out! The pet policy sucks they allow cats but not dogs. I think they should allow small dogs under 20 pounds. Everybody do not like cats like myself and I want to have a pet but because i don't care to much for a cat so therefore i have to be pet less. Their late charge is to much. A lot of people are starting to move out due to loud neighbors and the way things are handled there. They have went through a lot of different managers due to poor managing. They have a manager now who has been trying to work really hard to get things done. Im not to sure about him yet. He seems like he tries to make his residents comfortable. I think they just let anybody move in. I have a very noisy neighbor who decides she wants to listen to music a 100 am on a weekday vey loud. i must move soon! more

these apartments are ghetto nothing but thugs live here. no consideration for the other tennants that live here. i guess that is why it is so cheap. they will take anybody. there are constant fights in the hallways on weekend nights. more

I would'nt reccomend Barkley Ridge Apts. They are small and kind of dirty. They have a pool but there is always alot of people that don't live there swimming in it. It is off the busline so it is kind of convienent and the rent is cheap. I did see roaches there though. more
