The mussels Caffe Vino is wonderful--butter & herbed garlic sauce with shelled succulent mussels. The ravioli is fantastic in cream or a light tomato sauce. Make sure someone orders the fettuccine with veal ragu or the ricotta-veal meatballs. The homemade foccacia with tomato flan greets you but save room for the wonderful rich & creamy ricotta cheesecake or the panna cotta.
The service is attentive and friendly. The music is a blend of boradway favorites, pop and romantic sogns with a few techno pieces to liven the atmosphere. The garden is beautiful and helps to enjoy the summer evenings. The plavce is initmate for a romantic dinner or can accomodate a wonderful crowd of friends to casually dine each evening. Brooklyn is enjoying a great revival in food destinations and proving that not all the great places are located on Smith Street! Ft. Greene has a jewel in this place.
