Where to start...
The facility has lots of potential. Great BAR.! Seating is a bit uncomfortable because the chairs are very old and left over from the old Pavilion. I'm sure they will eventually be redone in the seat to make them more comfortable. Grade B+. Also, get rid of Jake Blues. That is some garage sale junk which is COMPLETELY OUT OF PLACE..!
Now the bad news. The food is not good. And I mean uneatable. I've eaten at the old location and the new facility several times. I thought the old location may have been limited due to limited kitchen. I am either sadly mistaken or the new kitchen has as many problems as the old. First problem. The quality of the food is low to start. The old saying you can't make chicken salad out of chicken s*$t applies to Mudcats.
Examples: The chicken wings are cooked from frozen to fryer thus the burned and blackened ends on the wings. The fries are taken from freezer to fryer. Which is a very poor way to cook fries. Burgers are just so pitiful. If I can cook one two times better than a restaurant then, they ain't trying. Vegies. Broccoli stems...! Costco doesn't have stems.. Go get some Costco veggies. The seafood gumbo is actually the best thing to order and it gets a solid B.
Can't do it anymore. We (us 4) eat before going and their ain't much more going.. Service slowness did us in the last few times.. unless you are at the bar. Bar is fine with great prices. Fat Tire on tap.! Bar gets an A-. Great TVs so I'm guessing football season would be nice.
I give it a D. I don't give Fs unless you don't serve liquor. There you have it.
Pros: Great facility..
Cons: Food and Service
