I visited my aging mother today, Fathers day, and was treated to a luncheon served at 1:30 p.m. It was a horrible experience. The salad bar was tepid at best with wilted iceberg & green leaf lettuces. The condiments were at room temperature, not the normal chilled temperature you would expect from a ""restaurant style"" dinning room. My fillet of beef that I requested medium rare was poorly butchered and was served barely warm and well done. This is the result of being seared in the morning and spending the next few hours in a warming tray or autosham. Limp, overcooked frozen vegetables accompanied this lousy steak along side of a grey mass that was suppose to be Dutchess potatoes. What a rip off. No wonder the #1 complaint of the residences there is the food. The poorly trained cooks should look for another career as they obviously can not cook. I was and still am appalled at the lack of attention to detail. Tomorrow I will call the general manager & the director of food services to let them know how bad their food is...
Pros: The only pro I can find is the patrons do not have to drive
Cons: Horrible foodservice prepared by idiots.
