My husband went in about 2 months ago for an eye exam, new contacts and glasses. He was told that they'll contact him in 2 weeks. They never did and he had called them instead. They told him 2 more weeks. So a month had gone by without any updates from them. My husband calls them again and was told it'll be another week. As it turns out, they had waited 2 weeks, when my husband called, before they submitted the order.
They forgot.
It's now 2 months and he's waiting for his third set of trials, which they claim to have by the end of the week.
We also discovered that the doctor gave him the WRONG PRESCRIPTION (off by .50)! And it's now TWO MONTHS instead of two weeks and he's still on trials. But they refuse to refund because it's ""their policy."" We even told them they may keep the examination fees ( over $170), but they wanted everything.
Becky, the office manager, also told us that it was my husband's fault because he inquired about some contacts that may alleviate the pain from wearing the current trials. Now is it not the doctor's profession to diagnose rather than the patient doing his own research and diagnose?
And when my husband called today to confirm the ordering of his new set of trials, the employee snapped that Becky already told him it will be ordered on Monday and my husband should thank her.
When asked for his name, he refused.
We plan on complaining to any consumer/government bureaus and any board/affiliations the office has. We will also do our best to forewarn and spread the truth about the office, the doctor's incompetence, the rudeness of its staff and the length of time it truly takes for them to process the orders.
I hope anyone and everyone who's had problems will follow suit.
Pros: unfortunately, convient location attracts new patients
Cons: unprofessional, inaccurate exam, rude, months for orders
