I went to this dentist in late Feb when i was losing my job and told him i needed to get done whatever needs to be done.\r
\r
He then suddenly after doing a check up and a unbelievable number of x-rays came back with a laundry list of things he needs to do. It included like 9 fillings and deep cleaning and a root canal.\r
\r
At that point i was clear i just wanted to use my insurance money and wanted to do what was urgent as i was loosing my job.\r
\r
He decided to do the cleaning and the root canal. The cleaning was no big deal. Then for the root canal on a second appointment i was showed a video of what a root canal is and part of the root canal video was about a crown being placed.\r
\r
The Doctors wife and assistant Lana said the cost is $1200. I asked her if there was enough money in my insurance for that and she said yes and that i had to pay a small amount out of my pocket, which was like $200. I said fine and we went through the process and paid my part.\r
\r
After he was done I was asked to come again to make the moulding for the tooth for the crown. After they were done with the moulding his wife said that now i owed them $1200 more for the crown which was never disclosed to me. she said that they can't order the crown unless I paid. From that message i would understand that if you don't pay we won't order, so since i was never informed about the additional cost and the message i got plus i was leaving the state a few days later i never paid.\r
\r
One month later I get a letter from a lawyer about this issue. I told him my story but ofcourse he represents the client so it really didn't matter. I made a counter off to pay him half even though he doesn't deserve the money. It took them a month to get back to me and now they are taking me to small claims court. What a con artist !!!!!\r
\r
Do yourself a favor and spread the message, this is the worst dentist !!!!!!
Cons: A con artist not a dentist
