I refused to go to Irene's because I won't wait in line for anything. No reservations is a crappy way to do business and smacks of egotism. When I learned the chef at Tommy's had started up his own place after running Irene's, we went for our anneversary. I had flowers delivered to the restaurant for my wife, and they were nice enough to hold them for her until we showed up for OUR RESERVATION.\r

I had duck, the best I can remember. We had champagne delivered by a knowledgeable waiter, and left full and extremely impressed. I am a chef.
