1. Debbie is not capable of managing a class of preschool children. \r
2. There is no consistent teacher for the preschool class.\r
3. The children in the preschool class spend 75% of the class “waiting for their turn” because they have to go one at a time. 3 years olds. Going one at a time. For 50 minutes. \r
4. I paid $500 for my daughter to stand in line. \r
5. Biggest Problem: Debbie grabbed my daughter’s arm as she went skipping by her. I about flew out of my chair. She could have easily injured my daughter’s arm. When I pulled her aside to tell her that was dangerous and to not grab my daughter like that again, she got this ‘stunned’ look on her face. A few minutes later, she asked me sarcastically if she could pick my daughter up. The next week, parents were not allowed in the room to watch anymore (after they had been allowed to watch for 6 months).\r
6. That same day, I decided to withdraw my daughter. I simply stated that we would need to withdraw and she asked why. I didn’t want to cause a scene after the arm grabbing and simply told her that I did not think that my daughter was ready for instruction. She asked again, “Is something wrong?” So I decided to explain the issues: 1) too much time waiting, 2) no classroom management skills and 3) the arm pulling. She responded sarcastically by saying, “How would you know how well we manage the class? You are never here.” I had not been to the class every time they met, but I had been going every other class. My husband had been going every week and had been talking to me about what he observed (which was the same poor management). However, assuming that my husband was wrong (it’s happened before) and that Debbie had managed the class well the 50% of the time I wasn’t there, then that still means 50% of the classes were not managed well. That’s still not good! Furthermore, if the class had been managed well, it would be evident on any visit because the children would be well behaved. \r
7. I prepaid and when I wanted to withdraw (providing the required notice) she told me that she had already spent the money I prepaid and she would not be able to issue my a refund.\r
