Places like these are what give mechanic shops a bad name. \r

My experience: Had major engine problem. Towed it in for an opinion. New engine would be $5000. The owner said he could fix for $1600. I told them to go ahead and was thrilled. Went to pick it up after delays and more delays. Bill came to $8000. (not kidding).\r

At that point, what do you do? I need a car, they can put a mechanic's lien on my house. What could I do? I paid them and the thing broke again precisely when the warranty on their work ran out. I would never go back there. And I work on cars! Shame on me for trusting them.\r

These people are crooks. If you're fortunate enough to not have been taken by them (yet), consider yourself lucky. If you take your car to this shop and ignore the obvious warnings posted here, then you're misguided. Proceed at your own risk.
