I don't know what the person below is so upset about. Being Greek myself, I can say exactly the opposite. Cavo has always had a healthy amount of Greek and also international clientele. I go there all the time and so do many people I know. It is still the place to be in Astoria and everyone knows that. I can safely bring my friends from Manhattan or business contacts there and be sure that they will have a great time, or just party with my Astorian friends. It is a very successful combination of classy restaurant and hot club. You can have a great dinner and then stay and party all night long at the bar or for bottle service. Every popular place has a door policy and long lines. I don't find Cavo's excessively strict. In fact, I was there this Saturday and had a great time. The music was great, it was packed and the party was going on and on. The bartenders are fun and friendly. There was some guy in the crowd(not Greek), that was a trouble maker, but other than that it was great. I can't wait until the garden opens too.
Pros: Hot decor and garden, great food, beautiful crowd, fun
Cons: They let in uncool trouble makers sometimes
