Five of my colleagues and I recently enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Fuego Bistro. Starting with cocktails, the sangrias (both white and red) were excellent. We also loved how the table was set with pottery chargers and tin menus. Each course was wonderful. I especially enjoyed the crab cake appetizer, pernil asado, and the creamed corn. \r
It's definitely in a modest neighborhood and has a humble-looking exterior; polar opposite of all the Scottsdale flash. But once you're in, it's quite charming, especially after dark.\r
We're putting this one on our regular rotation. If you enjoy small, local restaurants with lots of character, this is the perfect choice for you.
