After arriving at Salt Lake Roasting Co., I took about 20 minutes to settle in and get started on my work before I was planning on getting up to buy my coffee and snack. The owner came up to me, interrupted my work and said ""did you buy anything?"" How rude! I can understand if I was here for hours or if this place was packed at the time but the place was close to empty.\r

On top of that, they have a $5.00 minimum to use a credit card. For a coffee house, i think this is a bit ridiculous, given that most drinks cost under $5.00 and many people don't carry cash.\r

I have been coming here for years and was coming daily for a period of time. I was very insulted by the owner's comments and will likely not come back here. The coffee is mediocre at best, although their cakes are pretty good

Cons: Incredibly rude owner, $5.00 minimum for use of credit card
