We had an item we purchased installed and were charged close to $300 per hour for a 1.5 hour job. We complained and received a small adjustment but found the $66 charge for just coming out plus the high fee very pricey. Afterwards, I called competitors and found them to be 1/3 the price (ACME was least expensive at $85 the first hour plus misc small parts). Some of that time was spent by the tech roaming the house trying to get more business. He quoted $1,300 for replacing the sump pump and $400 to repair just the float. \r

I chose Pat because he sounded like a small business that was fair. He was pleasant and very attentive when I complained but still high. In their defense, I was quoted a high price when they came out but was assured that it was competitive and I didn't want to pay $66 just to get another plumber out.
