The ambiance was not that of a high end restaurant. It was loud and crowded. I didn't enjoy waiting in the long line for the salad. When I got to the meat course, some meats were okay and others not so much. The portions were very thin and small and the beef was all outer cut. I didn't find any of the meat to be outstanding. The 3 starches they served as sides were good. The service was a bit slow so I spent quite a bit of time waiting for my next small cut of meat. I guess it's better for them that way since you get full faster the slower you eat. The tres leches, which I paid extra for, was still frozen in the middle.\r
I have eaten at most of Houston's finer restaurants and do not in any way mind paying for a great meal but this is not one of them. What I paid for what I received was clearly off balance. I have NEVER complained about a restaurant before but I actually left Fogo de Chao a lilttle angry. I will not ever go back. I would recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
Pros: Nice waitstaff
Cons: Food was just so so
