We went to September's on a Monday night and were happy to find that Monday's are 1/2 price entree nights. Otherwise, I think the food is overpriced. I do find it funny when people complain when they get the bill--the prices are plainly listed on the menu so unless you can't do math, there should be no surprises when the bill comes.
I'd highly recommend the mushroom fritters, the duck and the portobello mushroom sandwich. The sunken pecan cheesecake was fabulous--though probably not worth the $8 a slice pricetag. We did not order any specialty drinks, but they looked very appealing.
The atmosphere was cozy, but the seats were not very comfortable. The service was good--she kept our glasses full, told us the specials, and even asked if I wanted something in place of my garlic mashed potatoes (no, just want them in a to go box so I'll have room for the desert!)
Overall, I'd say as long as you stick to Monday nights, its a pretty good deal for the food quality. I left stuffed and satisfied.
Pros: sunken pecan cheesecake
Cons: uncomfortable seats
