Being a native Nashvillian and knowing this city, The Acorn is my favorite restaurant. When you first pull up to the front of the charming building you get a sense of a lovely, welcoming, glow. This feeling only intensifies as your greeted by one of the polite but laid back host or hostesses. Then of course, there is the food! We usually start with the perfectly cooked calamari and the locally famous acorn squash stuffed ravioli. Next to the Acorn caesar and the heirloom tomato salad. Now comes the conflict...the pork tenderloin, lamb shank, chorizo and potato crusted halibut, or my staple wonderful cut of filet cooked medium rare? Tough decision! However, accompanied by a fantastic pinot from the Acorn's unique wine list, I soon settle into remembering that whatever entree I get at the Acorn is always a treat. Then there is the deserts! Thnk I'm running out of room so let me close by saying...The Acorn is a Nashville Establishment, locally owned, that I am very proud to frequent, and have never been disapointed when I leave....
Pros: wonderful ambiance, truly fine food, superb service
