I had dinner at BLT last night and it was a fantastic experience! I'm still gorged and very happy. I started off with a vodka cocktail while waiting at the bar for the table (vanilla vodka / lavendar soda) which was different and delicious. The bartender was very nice and made it for me without sugar. Since it was a party of eight, we ordered a variety of appetizers, sides and entrees. I was thrilled to be able to try so many items from their menu. The popovers were warm, tender and buttery. A great start! The stand out appetizers were the double cut bacon and burrata. The most memorable side dishes were the creamy spinach, potato gratin and onion rings. For entrees we ordered the porterhouse for 2 (very good), new york steak (very good), bone-in rib eye with bone marrow (very, very good), a lamb steak that was a special (excellent) and, my personal favorite, the short ribs. They were truly outstanding - the best thing on the menu. I wish we could have tried dessert but we were just too full and had to be on our ways. Our waiter brought us out warm dollops of (what I think was) chocolate chip cookie dough with the check and we were all over the moon. What a great meal! I'm now a Laurent Tourondel fan and I'll be buying his BLT cookbook for that short ribs recipe, among others.
Pros: uhh...steak!
