I purchased a new snowmobile from groves that proved to have a defect from the factory causing the engine to blow up (twice). groves service addressed the symptom and (rebuilt the engine) not the problem (once). the second time they hung me out to dry ( unit was now out of warranty). I researched this carburation/fuel filter/fuel tank issue and found a mfg. bulletin that addressed the plastic particles that accumulate in the carburator from the fuel filter falling off in the fuel tank. A total of 54 miles were put on the rebuilt engine before the 2nd blow up. groves sent me packing... I faithfully drove 70 miles to do business with groves because a friend had connections with them. I fought with ski doo for months and finally got a sympathetic ear that agreed to send the parts needed to repair this snowmobile. groves wanted to charge me $650.00 to put it together again.Needless to say I took my broken snowmobile home and fixed it myself (no problem since) This ordeal took place a
