I adopted a pug from a shelter this past May. I have several friends who bring their pets to Merrick, so when she needed care, I called for an appointment and that's where I brought her. My initial reaction was, "Wow, they really care about your pets here!" Based on her behaviors, the shelter believes that my little girl was a puppy mill dog. I explained that to Dr. Murnighan on our first visit. I was impressed with the time he took with her, and with the fact that when I'd emailed him about her being afraid of firecrackers and thunder storms he took the time to respond to the email and attached information on how to help dogs get through thunderstorms. Fast forward to about three weeks ago. I emailed Dr. Murnighan and left three phone messages to find out about getting a tranquilizer for her since my neighbors still seemed to be celebrating July 4th. He never responded to my email, nor did he return any one of the three messages I'd left. To the person who mentioned that Dr. Murnighan
