The restaurant has lovely decor and location. The appetizers were delicious. The fried artichoke was perfectly fried. The escargot tender and lighly seasoned. The service was very spotty considering there were only 2 tables occupied and it seemed there was service staff that numbered at least 8. The caesar salad that comes with the meal was bland. The bus boy tried to add pepper form a mill that didn't work well. I would have gotten more pepper out of the shaker on the table. When the hot bread and butter was served we had to ask for butter knives. Our entrees were no better. The duck was tough and contained all its bones. The cherry sauce was thick and cloying. It was very hard to cut with the butter knife provided. The prime rib was overcooked and we had to ask for a steak knife. The entrees were served with a garlic mashed potato and sauted squash.., The were not hot when delivered. The serving size was small to say the least (approimately 3/4 of a cup \r altogether). All in all a very unsatisfying was to spend ones birthday. The cost of the meal indicated a 4 star restaurant but the experience was 1 star at most. We will probably not return. Cons: service- quality more
