I bought my gown at DB and loved the girl who originally helped me out. She was about my age and seemed to care about what I wanted. She also was very patient with me. After I purchased the gown, I had the worst experience of my life. I am continually shocked by the lack of customer service, especially in the state that our economy is in, for a business to not appreciate you or the business that you are bringing them. They never called me to tell me that my dress was in, I had to go there and ask. Also, I set up an appointment to get the dress altered and the woman was a complete idiot. She had no idea what she was doing and I even had to help her figure out how to pin a part of it to make it fit me better. She interupted me and my friend's conversation constantly to tell us about how her first, second, and third weddings and marriages worked out (or didn't for that matter)- not something a bride wants to hear before her upcoming marriage. She also started my appointment late and went half an hour into her next appointment. And on top of that I had to go back later in the day to have her re-do the bustle because she didn't know how to do that either. When I got my dress back, I put it on- with the same shoes and undergarments as the first fitting and it was about 2-3 inches off of the floor. She said it was standard and said that it was because I was standing on a platform- the 'platform' was really just a raised part of the alterations area that was big enough to just be considered as a regular floor. She did not care that it was too short- and as we all know you can't easily add any length to a dress without it looking absurd. I ended up having to buy new shoes and it still is a little shorter then it should be. I also mentioned that it was kind of riding up when I walked- which it hadn't done before and she patted my hips- which aren't large- and said that that was the reason for it. I'm sorry but I am a size 2, I really don't have much for hips... Another thing too was that the bustle that was such a problem for her in the first place had been done wrong and I had to wait while she fixed it. After $250, my dress is still not fitting properly. Over all a very disappointing experience. Also, don't order anything from their website or try to talk to their head-quarters customer service reps. They are more disgusting then the people that work in the stores. Enough said- do not shop here, if you do, get your dress and run! Alterations are the worst I've ever seen and completely over priced!
Pros: dress is pretty
Cons: horrible customer service
