My friend and I went to The Duck Walk in Wakefield Center last night. The ambiance was nice with beautiful dishes and candles on each table. The waiters were friendly and attentive. We each asked for a glass of the house Merlot. Normally restaurants will offer a good tasting, reasonably priced wine as their house wine, and because they order so much of it, price-wise those savings are normally passed on to the customer. Not here. We did not expect that a glass of house wine would be $ 8.00. To me that becomes not just overpriced, but a rip off. We ordered spring rolls to start which were tasty with an orange spiced dipping sauce. We realized there were only 3 rolls at most, cut into tinier portions. Not a lot for at least a $ 9.00 appetizer. We each ordered the Pad Thai for dinner. It was the BEST PAD THAI that either one of us had EVER tasted. Beyond Delicious! Very fresh and they must have a special secret ingredient that gives their Pad Thai a very distinctive taste. Scrumptious! The pad thai entree ran about $ 13.00. High for a noodle dish, but it was a good portion and again, very delicious. It was a fun night out but not worth $ 60.00. If you are a Pad Thai fan you owe it to yourself to try the Duck Walk. But what we will do next time is order Pad Thai to go and take it home and skip their appetizers and wine. I have rated them 4 stars. I would have given them 5 stars but couldn't because of the price.
Pros: Best Pad Thai Anywhere
Cons: Overpriced
